If you remember nothing else about this world, remember that energy is the building block of all matter. You have to make a conscience effort to use your energy in a way that benefits your highest good.
So often we get into this mind where we are fearful, angry, and pre-occupied about things that have not happened and probably will not happen except for the fact that we keep putting our energy into it and therefore attracting it to us. We’ve become experts at manifesting what we do not want.
Think about it. We love to manifest problems that don’t even exist and then pat ourselves on the backs for being prepared to deal with non-stop adversity.
That’s one way of doing things. If that floats your boat then okay, but it’s not the only way.
You see, your happiness doesn’t depend on what everyone else is doing. It’s so easy to get stuck into this “if so and so would just get it together then we all could be happy!” But really, the one who needs to get it together is YOU. How can you expect to get together in a positive and productive space with other people if your entire existence is predicated on being fearful and angry?
But you have to put in the work in order to get to the point where you automatically realize that. We don’t live in a world that makes it easy to do so.
Problems happen, evil exists, sabotage runs amok, and every being is not benevolent – we can know and recognize that without letting that aspect of life define us. We do not need to staple fear and helplessness to our foreheads as some sort of badge of honor. Of course you can if that makes you feel better, but I am not here for that. No thanks.
For me, it comes down to being able to observe the world around us without absorbing it. Everything that is meant to cause emotional distress does not need to be internalized as my reality. Also, I do not need to have an emotional response to every provocation that crosses my path. That is how I choose to live and it serves me well.
Focus on what you want instead of dwelling on what you don’t want; because energy flows where attention goes. There is no reason to get sucked into the cycle of blaming others and being angry about problems that you don’t even have at this moment.
Always have love and compassion, but that doesn’t mean you have to absorb other people’s negative energies and ideas. Take your power back by learning to observe without absorbing.
