“Everything is created twice, first in the mind and then in reality.”―Robin S. Sharma
If you actually believed that quote, what would your life look like? Would you choose to create the most negative, terror-inducing, hopeless reality possible or would you create a reality of happiness, abundance, and pleasure?
Hold the phone – because some people are going to automatically correlate the words “abundance and pleasure” to something negative when that shouldn’t be the case. Shouldn’t we want to live a life full of an abundance of happiness, love, joyful experiences, and sufficient resources? Why not? Enjoying this life experience should not be seen as undesirable, nor should it be correlated to any sort of questionable behavior.
That doesn’t mean you are going to enjoy every single thing in every single moment, but instead it’s about aligning with a certain mentality. And mentality is really what it’s all about. That’s how some people can be relatively poor financially but happy as lark; while others can be financially filthy rich yet still miserable and ugly. It’s not about the “things” or the “things going on”; it’s about the person’s personal mindset.
YOUR PERCEPTION IS YOUR REALITY
Let me tell you a little about my mindset. I don’t embrace the notion that life is meant to be a struggle, but I do recognize that it can be. However I don’t support “struggle mode” as the standard to promote going forward. You may be in “struggle mode” and you may have struggles, but that doesn’t mean that it should be promoted that life in general is meant to be lived on a scale from absolutely miserable to okay. And then maybe if you prove yourself then you can be truly happy.
I could be wrong, but that doesn’t sound proper to me. Yet that is what gets passed on from generation to generation (unless you happen to be born in a family that is quite introspective.)
What would it look like if we decided to go a different route for future generations? What if instead of promoting constant fear about every single aspect in life, we promoted inner peace and the right to live fearlessly?
What would it look like if everyone had inner peace and the knowledge that they could create anything they wanted as long as they were willing to put the action behind it?
IT’S ALL ABOUT YOU
But don’t go too far with that visualization, because we can’t worry about everyone. We can only worry about ourselves. That is where the real power is – within ourselves. What are you creating right now with your thoughts? Are you creating things that bring forth your highest good, or are you creating drama, trauma, and defeat?
When it comes down to it, it is important to control your thoughts and not let them control you. You have to become a master at turning around your nasty thoughts, or even just turning them off when they get out of hand. If you can’t do it, then you have a lot of work to do. How can you expect to master anything if you cannot even master your own self?
YOU ARE A WINNER
Try saying this every day, “I win.” No matter what happens, say, “I win.” Carry that attitude with you and watch your life turn around.
You should feel entitled to win, because the big secret is that no one has to lose.
